Women are the most affected part of a society in developing countries like the Eastern African region. They labor beyond any man can contribute to the family or society. When it comes to widows with 4, 5 or 6 children, living is very hard. Providing a one-time micro-grant of $1200 transforms a hard-working widow and her family for life. Training, monitoring and advises are provided by the Global Call Team. These widows are expected to meet the social workers every 15 days for evaluations and to report their business progress. The Global Call Team visits on the business locations and helps the widows in every aspect of challenges they might face.
The widows are required to save certain percentage from their profit in a locked account to use for the expansion of their business whenever needed and approved by the Global Call staff.
